Екатерина Георгиева спечели отличието при изключително силна конкуренция

Студентката от трети курс, специалност "Химия" - редовно обучение, Екатерина Георгиева е носител на ректорската стипендия „Студент на годината на ПУ „Паисий Хилендарски“ за 2022 г. Стипендията е лично дарение на ректора на Пловдивския университет проф. д-р Румен Младенов и е в размер на една месечна заплата. Тя се връчва за отличен успех, активна гражданска позиция и принос в издигането на авторитета на висшето училище.

Екатерина Георгиева е избрана сред силна конкуренция заради отличния си успех по време на цялото следване и високите постижения в областта на химията. Тя споделя, че интересът ѝ към тази наука датира от ранна възраст, а като единадесетокласничка участва в състезание на Химическия факултет на ПУ, на което получава оценка отличен 6,00. Именно то ѝ осигурява място в мечтаната от нея специалност във висшето училище.

Средният успех на Екатерина за трите курса на обучение е 6,00, което е изключително постижение за избраната от нея университетска специалност. Тя е носител и на наградата на Фондация „Еврика“, която се връчва на името на акад. Ростислав Каишев за постижения в овладяването на химията и химичните технологии.

През изминалото лято Екатерина е била на стаж в катедрата по аналитична химия на университета на Вилнюс, Литва, по програма "Еразъм+" като представител на Пловдивския университет. Темата, по която работи там, е "Приложение на златните наночастици за количествено определяне на SARS-CoV-2 антитела".

Към момента третокурсничката е дипломант в Катедра Аналитична химия към Химически факултет на ПУ, като дипломната ѝ работа е в сферата на инструменталните методи за анализ – един от любимите ѝ предмети.

Екатерина споделя, че е изключително доволна от нивото на образованието, което получава в Пловдивския университет - както от материалната база, така и от отличните преподаватели, и препоръчва обучението в най-голямото висше училище в Южна България. Тя отправя послание към своите колеги, че дори в моментите, когато е трудно, всяко усилие, насочено към ученето си заслужава.
