Мъртвите сами избират своите издатели. Почувствах го, когато зачетох романа „Мястото или сказание за Иракли“ на Димитър Б. Димов. Бях прочела едва една трета от романа, когато реших, че ще го издам. Нямаше две мнения – това е един чудовищен романист, към който ме поведе неговият първи издател – приятелката ми Малина Томова, в чийто издателски вкус безпрекословно вярвах. Вярвах й и като изключителна поетеса, която винаги ще нося в сърцето си – с любов. Бог да ги прости и двамата.

„Мястото или сказание за Иракли“ ме покори и промени завинаги – не само със стила и езика си, а и с потресаващите парчета светлина, достигнали до мен чрез завидното авторско съприкосновение с обиталището и със сенките на хора и животни, вдишали аромата на същото това място. Та нали обиталището – т.е. земята е нашият дом и поклон, както и нашата вяра, чрез която стигаме до мечтите си. За да се почувстваме живи и мъничко по-високи в духовния барометър на живота.

"Мястото" е една от настолните ми книги. Не само защото авторът й бе съкровен и непрежалим мой приятел. Но и защото това e изумителен текст-откровение, написан на предела на отчаянието. За трагичността на Човека, който сме всички ние. И за всеобщата застрашеност на Смисъла.

Книжище – така бях озаглавил един свой текст за романа на Димитър Б. Димов „Мѣстото или сказание за Иракли“. Книжище, защото това е не просто книга, това е чудовищна книга, като тук е необходимо пояснение – чудовище идва от чудо, сиреч това е нещо тъй невероятно, тъй непостижимо, тъй завладяващо, че не можеш да откъснеш очи от него. Точно по същия начин не можеш да се откъснеш и от „Мѣстото или сказание за Иракли“, и то не само заради поглъщащата те история, но и заради езика, заради писателския етос.

Димитър Б. Димов не пише като другите, но не пише и като себе си – той пише като Литературата, като истинската Литература. Казвал ми е, че цял ден може да се бори с едничка страница, за да не допусне нито едно повторение, че цял ден може да я усъвършенства, преглежда, преправя, докато не започне да звучи звънко, мелодично, с небесната хармония, за която говорят питагорейците. Това е къртовски труд, но с ангелска награда, защото да – той ни остави завършена само тази своя книга, но пък каква книга – не книга, КНИЖИЩЕ! И я прочетете, за да разберете не само как се пише, но и за да осъзнаете колко висока, колко тежаща отговорност е писането, доброто писане.
